Hello my name is Dawn Dee Shanklin-King.  I was born In Alamogordo, New Mexico to a career military father and have lived all over the country. My family moved to San Antonio, Texas in 1980. My husband, daughter and I relocated to Corpus Christi, Texas in 2007.

I am a mother, wife, student, musician, photographer, and writer. I am working on a Post Graduate Certificate in Ancient and Classical History. I completed my MSEd in Post Secondary and Adult Education in 2009.

My daughter truly is a miracle baby. She is a gift from the heavens as is my soul mate. Mean while I am raising, homeschooling my daughter and supporting my husband as he works on his MA in American History.

My hobbies include Ancient and Classical History, Fairies, Horses, Music, Photography, and Writing.
